The iPad edition maintains the high editorial standards that readers expect while incorporating interactive and multimedia features. A free compilation issue is available for download via the app, providing a taste of what E&T has to offer. Subscribers can also enjoy a new issue monthly, with the magazine printed nine times a year.

In addition to the iPad version, subscribers and members of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) can access an HTML format viewable in both portrait and landscape orientations. This version responds effectively to various screen sizes and allows for pinch-and-zoom functionality. Archived PDF issues are also available for ease of reference.

The app is primarily optimized for iPad use; however, starting from version 4.22, it is compatible with most iPhone models. The new HTML version provides an alternative reading experience on mobile devices.

Members of IET can access issues without charge through the app by logging in with their membership number and surname as their password. Non-members have the option to purchase the latest issue or select back issues for £3.99 each.

For those interested in consistent updates, single issue purchases are available at £3.99 each.

How it works: Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account upon purchase confirmation. Subscriptions automatically renew unless disabled 24 hours before the current period ends. Users will receive a notification regarding renewal charges within this timeframe. Subscription management and auto-renewal settings can be adjusted in Account Settings post-purchase; however, cancellation during the active subscription period is not permitted. Charges may be subject to conversion to local currency.
